We can make it – Owusu

Gamba All Blacks Striker Obed Owusu is confident his team can bounce back from their poor start of their league campaign despite their 2:0 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Black Magicians are reeling from a poor start to their league campaign having lost four out of six league matches.

They lie 14th on the league table with just four points.

But Obed Owusu is adamant his side has what it takes to begin raking in the points.

“We can make it”, he said.

“This is just the sixth week and there are more matches ahead.

“When we lose a match we usually go back thinking about training and discipline and all those things.

“So we will go back home and restrategise for the upcoming fixtures,” he said.

Owusu who was All Blacks’ leading scorer with ten goals last season has so far failed to find the back of the net.
He said, “I have not scored yet for the team and this is my second game for the team after spending some time in Europe”, adding, “I was trying to score today but unfortunately could not but I hope to score in the next game.”

He also conceded that playing all their home matches at the Swedru stadium can bring the team some advantages.

Indeed All Blacks’ only win this season has been at the Swedru Stadium.

“If you are at home your supporters are behind you and you definitely have to win though not in a bad way,” Owusu said “but if you see your supporters you just have to satisfy their hunger.”
