The Kwabre District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has launched a programme to fight poverty and improve education especially in its rural communities.
To enable it implement the programme, the district had acquired land banks for distribution to unemployed youth who are eager to go into agriculture.
Mr Adams Iddisah, District Chief Executive, told an ordinary meeting of the assembly at Mamponteng on Monday that already 100 young people had been selected from some deprived communities to work on a 100 acre land.

Mr Iddisah appealed to the people to contribute their quotas towards the progress and development of the district.

That is a piece of good news for people of kwabre. The beneficiary communities should cooperate with the assembly so as to be able to execute the projects successfully. I also want to appeal to the Honorable Dce to remember the people of Ahwiaa in future projects.
