Standard Bank named ‘Best Trade Finance Bank’
Standard Bank, parent company of Stanbic Bank Ghana, has been named ‘Best Trade Finance Bank in sub-Saharan Africa’ by GTR Magazine in its first annual readers’ poll on the world’s leading financial institutions.
GTR is a leading international trade finance magazine, providing in-depth news and analysis on the global emerging markets trade finance, export finance and risk markets.
The award recognizes Standard Bank’s significant presence in sub-Saharan Africa, where SB played lead roles in some of the largest and most complex deals in the region including:
Fertilizer financing in Malawi,G rain finance in Tanzania, Oil finance in Nigeria, Cocoa finance in Ghana,Telecoms equipment in Mozambique and Power equipment in East Africa.
