Ghana stocks fall again

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, dropped by 23.91 points from 6,289.24 points to 6,265.33 points during Tuesday’s trading on the Accra bourse.

The Change Year to Date was 12.44 points.

Traded volume was 689,504 shares valued at GH¢146,579.00. African Champion Limited (ACI) led the pack with 338,000 shares valued at GH¢29,420.00; followed by UT Bank Limited (UTB) with 141,300 shares valued at GH¢36,738.00; Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) had 86,700 shares valued at GH¢12,138.00 while Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) also had 58,200 shares valued at GH¢14,550.00.

Shares of 11 other equities were also sold.

On the broader market, there were five losers and three gainers. Fan Milk Limited (FML) lost GH¢0.21 to close trading at GH¢7.50; Unilever Ghana Limited (UNIL) lost GH¢0.14 to close at GH¢3.56, Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB), Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) and UTB lost GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢1.51; GH¢0.12 and GH¢0.26, in that order.

Golden Star Resources Limited (GSR) led the pack with an increase in its share price of GH¢0.20 to close trading at GH¢3.50; Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (SCB) appreciated by GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢42.72; while GOIL went up by GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢0.25

Market Capitalisation was GH¢18,179.82 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
