Ghana stocks in making gains
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, went up by 2.07 points from 6,386.52 points to 6,388.59 points during Wednesday’s trading on the Accra bourse.
The rise was the fourth in succession.
The Change Year to Date was 14.65 points.
Traded volume was 159,588 shares valued at GH¢179,962.40. Of the 13 equities that sold shares, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) led the pack with 73,600 shares valued at GH¢9,656.00.
On the broader market, there were nine price changes, five negatives and four positives.
Golden Star Resources Limited (GSR) lost GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢3.40; Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) and SIC Insurance Company Limited (SIC) lost GH¢0.02 each to close trading at GH¢1.56 and GH¢0.39, respectively while Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) and Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) depreciated by GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢2.96 and GH¢1.19, respectively.
Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (SCB) led the gainers with a share price increase of GH¢0.25 to close trading at GH¢43.00; Fan Milk Ghana Limited (FML) went up by GH¢0.10 to close trading at GH¢7.60 while Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) and Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) appreciated by GH¢0.01 each to close trading at GH¢1.56 and GH¢0.24 respectively.
Market Capitalisation was GH¢18,265.93 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
