Jomoro District Assembly improves internal revenue generation
The Jomoro District Assembly increased its Internal Generated Revenue (IGF) during the first six months of this year by 42 per cent, the District Chief Executive, Mr Victor Kabenlah, said at Half Assini at the weekend.
He said the Assembly collected 102,961.18 as against 72,093.95 during the same period last year.
Mr Kabenlah said Jewi Wharf topped the list of the ten revenue generation points of the Assembly.
He said even though revenue generation by the Assembly was impressive, there was still room for improvement.
The Presiding Member of the Assembly, Mr Francis Ehwi Armah, said the division in the Assembly before he took office has been relegated into oblivious.
He therefore appealed to the members of the Assembly to come together as one body and work towards the development of the district.
