Planning Committee for 2nd Volta Trade and Investment Fair sworn in
A nine member Planning Committee has been formed for this year’s Volta Trade, Investment and Cultural Fair.
Members of the Committee, who were sworn on Monday, would plan this year’s event taking cue from the 2009 maiden fair, which was said to be highly successful.

The Fair will take place from November 22 to December 05, 2010 under the theme: “Volta Region: Investors’ Destination.”
Col. Necku called for assistance and cooperation from traditional authorities and business institutions to make the event a mega one.

Mr Joseph Amenowode, the Volta Regional Minister, said the 2009 Trade and Investment Fair witnessed remarkable investment interests in the Region, especially in areas of agro-industries, hospitality, salt production and mining.
“Several Chinese, Indian and Brazilian delegations, have visited the Region to explore the possibilities of establishing various business ventures and we hope this year’s will further open up the region for development,” he said.
Mr Amenowode said signals from other regions and outside the country indicated that the 2010 Fair would be a mega event.
