Losses by ETI and HFC pull down All Share Index heavily
The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, dropped by a whopping 103.29 points from 6,394.02 points to 6,290.73 points during Monday’s trading.
The Change Year to Date was 12.89 points.
Traded volume was 293,444 shares valued at GH¢112,215.25. Cal bank Limited (CAL) led the pack with 101,300 shares valued at GH¢26,338.00 followed by Produce Buying Company Limited (PBC) which sold 72,800 shares valued at GH¢9,435.00. Fourteen other equities sold shares.
On the broader market, there were four price changes, two positives and two negatives. UT Bank Limited (UTB) led the gainers with GH¢0.02 to close trading at GH¢0.25 while PBC appreciated GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.14.
HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited (HFC) lost GH¢0.02 to close trading at GH¢0.54 and Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) fell by GH¢0.01 to close trading at GH¢0.14.
Market Capitalisation now stands at GH¢18,178.75 million from 17.48 million issued shares.
