MTN-Busy Internet deal progresses
MTN Ghana announced a partnership deal with one of Ghana’s leading Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and operators of the country’s largest Internet cafés, Busy Internet early August. The deal which was started as a pilot project to enable MTN subscribers to access and browse the Internet at any of Busy Internet’s cafes has now taken off, a press release from the mobile telephony giant copied to ghanabusinessnews.com has said.
According to the release, the deal offers MTN subscribers another additional outlet to pay for Internet browsing at Busy Internet centers using airtime credit on their mobile handsets.
It indicated that MTN customers can pay for Internet services at Busy Internet by entering their MTN mobile number on the e-self Care platform (http//:eselfcare.com.gh). The subscriber then keys in their e-self care password and selects a preferred bouquet of browsing time ranging in price from GH¢2.5 to GH¢10. The cost for the browsing is then deducted directly from their MTN airtime account to their Busy Internet account. Additionally, any outstanding credits can be used by the subscriber later.
The agreement also covers customers using their own Laptops/Netbooks/Notebooks or any Wi-Fi handsets at Busy Internet, the release added.
The deal, according to the release is available at all the four Busy Internet centers in Accra.
