PBC marketing clerks cautioned against poor performance

Mr. Kofi Kutsoati, Central Regional Manager of the Produce Buying Company (PBC), has warned that marketing clerks, who would perform poorly as a result of their selfish interest, would not be spared.

He called on PBC District Managers to intensify their routine checks on the clerks to  identify and address short comings to enable the Company to meet its targets.

Mr. Kutsoati said these when the Company was celebrating its 10th Anniversary of being listed on the stock exchange, at Agona Swedru on Friday.

More than 100 farmers and PBC marketing clerks received certificates and a spraying machine each.

Mr. Kutsoati said that the Company had improved through effective financial management and appealed to cocoa  farmers to sustain their support for the Company to able to achieve its target.

Mr. Opoku Agyemang,, Central Regional Manager of the Quality Control Company Limited, in a speech read on his behalf, called on cocoa farmers to produce good quality cocoa  and cautioned the clerks to refrain from purchasing bad cocoa beans.

Mr. Eric Kwame Adjei, Regional Manager of the Cocoa Swollen Shoot Virus Disease Control Unit of the COCOBOD, appealed to farmers to solicit the assistance of the Unit to enable them to increase production.
