Ghana stocks rise on banks
The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, rose by 121.28 points to 6,900.34 points in trading on Tuesday.
The change for the year to date is 23.83 per cent.
Gainers for the session were Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), which was up GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.14; Fan Milk Limited (FML), which went up by GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢9.25 and CAL Bank Limited (CAL), which appreciated GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.29.
Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) gained GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.26 and SG-SSB Limited was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.56.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) lost GH¢0.10 to close at GH¢44.50.
A total of 99,452 shares was traded, valued at GH¢61,825.59.
Market capitalisation closed the session at GH¢19,984.81 million.
