Ghana will not frustrate Nigerian businesses – Haruna Iddrisu

The Minister of Communications, Mr, Haruna Iddrisu, has reiterated that the government has no reasons to sabotage Nigerian businesses from operating in the country.

He was reacting to a report that the government was preventing Nigerian businessmen and women from operating in the country when he addressed an awards night, dubbed; “Medase” which was organised by Technology Distributions Limited (TD), an information technology firm in Accra. The ceremony was in recognition and appreciation of some partner companies in the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the country.

He said the government would continue to provide an enabling environment for all business operations in the country, adding that it was also committed to partnering the private sector in the development of the ICT industry.

“The country is happy to deepen the co-existence between Ghana and its Nigerian counterparts,” he said. The minister said the country would establish a strategic intelligence ICT centre that would be the hub of information in the country.

He said an e-school project would be launched for schools nationwide. He congratulated the award winners on their achievement and asked them to continue to uphold the competence in the ICT sector.
