British High Commission announces changes in visa application process

As of March 1, 2011, all visa applicants applying under the Tier 4 category of the Points Based System will be required to complete their application forms online.

“This will be a mandatory requirement and no handwritten application forms will be accepted after this date,” a statement from the British High Commission in Accra said on Thursday.

It said the self-assessment appendices to the application form will still be accepted in handwritten form.

The statement said completed application forms should be submitted to the Visa Application Centre in the same way as before.

“This online requirement is expected to be extended to include all categories of the Points Based System in the near future,” the statement said.
