Polls suggest Ghana should host AYC if CAF changes Libya as host
Polls conducted by sports website, Goal.com, suggests that Ghana would be the best alternative country to host the 2011 Africa U-20 championship if the Confederation of African Football (CAF) should take the hosting right from Libya.
As at 1700 hours GMT today February 22, when ghanabusinessnews.com monitored the polls, Ghana had 36.92% of votes, followed closely by Nigeria with 27.69% and 21.52% for South Africa.
Countries like Rwanda, Egypt, Angola and host Libya all had less than 5%.
Meanwhile CAF is said to take a final decision on the hosting of the championship in Libya following political unrest faced by the country which is reported to have led to several deaths.
The tournament is expected to kick off March 18.
