Police administration starts workshop for personnel
The Police Administration is organizing capacity building workshops for police personnel to enhance their professionalism.
As part of the programme, 164 of the 494 police sergeants due for promotion to the rank of Inspector have started a two-week course at the Central Region Police Training School in Winneba.
The Officer Commanding of the Training School, Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Aseidu Okanta said this in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Winneba.
He said the workshop was also to prepare the personnel to excel in their promotion examinations.
Mr Okanta said the second batch of 165 personnel would start their training from March 20 to April 8 while the third batch of the same number will have their turn from April 10 to April 20.
He said the other ranks would also attend the workshop before they write their promotional examination.
