NPP delegates asked to vote for marketable candidates

The Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwamina Duncan, has urged delegates to vote for marketable candidates that could win elections in the 2012 Parliamentary and Presidential elections.

Mr Duncan said this at a forum organised by Mr Alex Afenyo Markin, a legal practitioner and one of the NPP aspiring Effutu parliamentary candidates in Winneba to launch his campaign.

He said the party’s primaries would take place on April 30th 2011 at all the constituencies throughout the country.

Mr Duncan therefore entreated members of the party in the constituency to rally behind any of the contestants who will be elected by the delegates and work with him to win the seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He also charged them to propagate the good messages of the NPP to electorates to enable more supporters to join the party.

Mr Markin appealed to the delegate to vote for him to enable the party win the seat from the NDC.

Mr Ayierebie Nyankson, former Effutu NPP Constituency Chairman, who chaired the programme, advised the members to bury their differences and “see themselves as one family fighting for a common goal”.

Mr Victor Nyankson, a legal practitioner who is contesting the seat with Markin was present.

Alex Afenyo-Markin is the right person to be voted for. He’s not only a brilliant business man, but also passionate about empowering his community, and Ghanains as a whole. Let’s give him a try, and I beleive without a single trace of doubt his excellence, hardwork, determination, single mindedness and will to serve his people well.
