Task force intercepts smuggled cocoa beans

The Ghana Cocoa Board Anti-Smuggling Task Force in the Jomoro District has between January and April 8 seized a total of 826 bags of cocoa being smuggle from Cote d’Ivoire into the country.

The cocoa have been handed over to the Ghana Cocoa Board Regional Office in Takoradi, the Secretary of the Task force, Nana Frendo Bosso Kwesi, told the GNA in an interview.

He said the latest arrest was made on April 8 when the Task Force intercepted 61 bags of cocoa beans being sent from French Nugua in Cote d’Ivoire to the Elubo Shed.
