Litigations can’t stop us – Chief declares
The Wassa Fiase Traditional Council would not allow litigations to thwart its development agenda for the area, Osagyefo Kwamena Enimil VI, has said.
At the council’s first general meeting, the chief complained that series of litigations brought against its president was affecting the developmental programme of the council.
Nevertheless, the council was working feverishly to begin its rubber plantation, fuel station business and other income generating activities to improve its financial base, he assured.
Osagyefo Enimil noted that the Wassa Fiase Educational Trust Fund was assisting in the educational development of children of Wassa descent but the low contributions by various stakeholders was preventing many applicants from accessing the fund.
He, therefore, encouraged the chiefs to fulfil their pledges towards the fund and appealed to corporate institutions to also make regular financial and book donations to the fund.
Osagyefo Enimil commended the government for cutting the sod for the construction of the US$63m million-Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayanfuri road.
He urged the chiefs in the respective areas to support the project and advice their subjects against pilfering the materials for the project.
