Support for investigative journalism: PAIR Ghana calls for applications
The Programme for African Investigative Reporting (PAIR) is calling for applications from Ghanaian journalists doing investigative reporting.
Media houses and individual journalists can apply for funding through the programme to undertake investigative reports for their media houses.
According to a release from the PAIR Ghana National Coordinator’s office, journalists can access financial support if their applications meet the requirements for funding. Applicants shall be required to provide detailed information about what they intend to investigate and why, it added.
Journalists would also be required to describe their starting point and aim for the investigation, a working schedule, a budget and finally introduce themselves in short CV’s, the release said.
Application forms can be obtained by contacting the National Coordinator, Emmanuel K. Dogbevi via email [email protected].
PAIR is a peer-to-peer programme to facilitate investigative journalism in Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso. The PAIR model was developed by Danish Association of Investigative Journalists (FUJ) based on experiences from a similar support programme, which was initiated in 2003 in Eastern Europe.
Deadline for the application is June 15, 2011.
