Stevanovic leaves Prince Boateng out of Ghana squad
Black Stars Coach, Goran Stevanvic has left embattled AC Milan midfielder, Kevin Prince Boateng out of the squad set to meet Swaziland in African Nations Cup Qualifier in Accra on September 2, 2012.
The Serb had no place for the midfielder whose commitment to the Black Stars has been questioned following his frequent permission to be excused from the team on national duty.
Even though Boateng who could miss the beginning of the Italian league is injured, it is widely believed his exclusion preceded the player’s injury which only occurred last week.
The Coach gave debutants, Adam Kwarasey and Albert Adomah another opportunity to make their Ghana bow in the double header against Swaziland and Brazil, slated for London three days after the Accra duel.
The duo were billed to debut in the abortive friendly with Nigeria in Watford on August 9.
The Accra game will similarly be the first for both players at home when Ghana host the Swazi’s in the penultimate Group I reverse fixture. The Stars won the first leg 3-0.
The Black Stars sit top of Group I with a better goal advantage over Sudan.
