NDC will ensure transparent and violent-free elections – MCE
Mr Simon Peter Asirifi, East Akim Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has assured Ghanaians of President Mills’ preparedness to ensure a transparent, credible and violent-free election in 2012.
For this reason, he said, party executives and members should co-operate and collaborate to help do away with politics of insults.
Mr Asirifi made the call at the Annual Graduation Ceremony of the Covenant Preparatory School at Kyebi, which attracted Chiefs, members of the security agencies, politicians and the general public.
He assured the people of Kyebi of the Assembly’s readiness to provide schools within the Municipality with the necessary infrastructure. The MCE also donated cash to the school.
Mr Alfred Prince Obikyere, Proprietor of the School, advised parents and guardians to invest in their wards education, since that would be a laudable investment.
In a related development, Madam Kate Agyeman-Badu, East Akim Municipal Director of Education, has observed that education was an indispensable tool for academic and social development and well-being of individuals.
Madam Agyeman-Badu made these remarks when she addressed the Graduation Ceremony of Christ the King School at New Tafo.
