The New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth has warned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the NPP would not allow its flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to become a punching bag in Election 2012.
Mr. Anthony Abaifaa Karbo, NPP National Youth Organizer, who issued the caution, said the NDC has deduced a strategy by attacking the NPP flagbearer for Election 2012 through insults just to discredit him.
He said that the NPP youth would firmly stand against any such behaviors from the NDC.
The NPP Youth Organiser said these when he meet with NPP youth, constituency and pooling station organizers and leaders of women and tertiary institution wings of the party at Wa on Saturday.
He called on Ghanaians to reject the NDC in Election 2012 and said the NPP would ensure that the biometric registration was implemented for the election.
Mr Karbo said the NDC has failed to deliver on its promises to the country especially the North with the much talked about Savannah
Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) and challenged the NDC to mention any project that was been undertaken under the SADA.
He called on the youth of the Upper West, Upper East and Northern Regions to work hard to defuse the NDC propaganda that the NPP was an Akan party.
Mr Karbo explained that the NPP was started in the North and could therefore not be said to be an Akan party as being perpetrated by the NDC.
He called on the youth to work hard to make the party attractive to floating voters.
Mr. Hafiz Bin Salih, NPP Second Regional Vice Chairman gave the assurance that the party in the Region would work hard for the party to win six parliamentary seats in the Region in 2012.
He called on NPP leadership to support the Regional branch with vehicles and motor bikes to enable it to propagate NPP message to the people.
Mr. Karbo said the NPP was working towards acquiring 49 motor bikes for the party in the three Northern Regions.
