Ghana Commercial Bank launches four new products

Ghana Commercial Bank, the largest financial institution in the country, has launched four new products geared towards the provision of world-class banking services to customers.

The products namely, Cash Management Solutions for business customers, Electronic Banking Solution for retail customers, Payment for Schools and Businesses and 24-hour Personal Loan, are to provide diverse banking opportunities for customers.

Mr Simon Dornoo, Managing Director of the bank at the launch of the products on Tuesday said the introduction of the products marked a giant step in the fortunes of the company.

The new products, he added, would give the bank’s diverse customers access to modern banking services through their comprehensive retail footprint across the country.

He said the products accompanied by the slogan: “GCB Easy Banking for You” will also provide customers with modern, fast and time saving facilities for their transactions.

“Customers can view their portfolio real-time online, view trade finance transactions and make bulk salary payments,” he said.

The Managing Director explained that the introduction of the 24-hour personal loan facility would revolutionise the loan industry in Ghana with easy access to loan.

Dr Henry Wampah, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, commended the Management of the Bank on the adoption of latest technological trends in their operation.

He said the introduction of the four products would boost the banking industry across the country.

GCB, which was established in 1953, now has 157 branches nationwide.
