Members of CLOGSAG migrated onto Single Salary Spine Structure
The Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare on Friday announced the successful completion of test run for the migration of members of Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) onto the Single Salary Spine Structure (SSSS).
It said major stakeholders had been constituted into a task force to check the accuracy in migrating grades within CLOGSAG onto the SSSS.
“The work is still on-going and considering the processes involved in finalising the payroll, which includes running the test payroll and cross checking by all stakeholders, there will be a delay in the payment of the salary of CLOGSAG members,” a statement issued in Accra on Friday said.
The statement jointly signed by Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, Minister of Employment and Social Welfare and Mr Isaac Bampoe Addo, Executive Secretary of CLOGSAG, said “Instead of the September 22, the payday for CLOGSAG members is now September 29.”
It said salaries for CLOGSAG members could therefore be accessed after September 29,
The statement said “For the avoidance of doubt, it must be emphasised that this arrangement affects CLOGSAG members only. All other public workers will receive their salaries after September 22 as scheduled.”
“The Ministry and Leadership of CLOGSAG wish to appeal to all affected persons to be patient with the task force involved in the process of migration to ensure that it takes off smoothly, “the statement added.
