Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce to assist businesses

Mr. Candam Dadzie, Treasurer of the Sekondi-Takoradi Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STRCCI), on Thursday said the chamber is poised to assist businesses to develop appreciably to enable them to contribute meaningfully towards the country’s development.

Speaking at the 4th General Meeting of the Chamber at Takoradi, he said the Chamber’s support for businesses would lead to the production of many more products to stimulate economic growth.

Mr. Dadzie urged businesses in the Western Region to make the Chamber the first port of call for assistance in order to benefit from its many assistance programmes.

Mr. Vincent Annan, the Executive Secretary of the Chamber, spoke of the upcoming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards ceremony of the chamber slated for Decemer 9 this year in Takoradi, and said the awards ceremony was being used to acknowledge and reward businesses that had lived up to their CSR.

Ms Philis Nartey of the Enterprise Insurance Company also spoke about the New Compulsory Insurance Act which requires that all commercial buildings should be insured against fire, eathquake, collapse, floods and other hazards.
