Six Ministers to appear before Parliament next week

Mr Cletus Avoka, the Majority Leader of Parliament has said six ministers would be expected to answer questions on the floor of the house during the second week of their meeting on Tuesday, 1, November 2011.

They include the Minister of State responsible for the Scholarship Secretariat, Ministers for Information, Interior, Water Resources Works and Housing, Food and Agriculture and Roads and Highways.

Mr Avoka said this on the floor of Parliament when he read the business statement for the second week ending on November 4, 2011.

He said bills may be presented to the house for consideration and those already before the house would be taken through the various stages adding that papers and committee reports would also be presented.

He said a closed sitting is likely to be held on Thursday November 3, 2011 and urged all members to avail themselves for the deliberations.
