Accra bourse index slips
The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, inched down 1.95 points on Monday to close at 995.47 points from 997.42 points.
The year-to-date now stands at negative 0.45 per cent.
The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also went down 1.95 points to 898.36 points from 900.31 points with a year-to-date change of negative 10.16 percent.
There were five price changes, a gainer and four decliners.
Benso Oil Palm Plantation the only gainer rose GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.87.
The decliners were Standard Chartered Bank down GH¢0.29 to GH¢45.21, Enterprise Group Limited fell GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.43, Fan Milk dipped GH¢0.02 to GH¢2.47 and PZ Cussons shed GH¢0.03 to GH¢1.43.
Market Capitalization closed the session at GH¢47,228.67 million.
A total of 93,019 shares were traded, valued at GH¢77,134.00
