Accra Bourse Index slips on ETI Loss
The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange fell 7.09 points to close at 978.85 points from 985.94 points.
The year-to-date now stands at negative 2.12 per cent.
The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also went down 10.23 points to 879.95 points from 890.18 points with a year-to-date change of negative 12 percent.
The session saw two price changes, equally shared between the gainer and loser as bearish sentiments still dominate the bourse.
HFC Bank gained GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.41.
Ecobank Transnational Incorporated fell GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.10.
Market Capitalization closed the session at GH¢47,136.98 million from GH¢47,234.29 million.
A total of 181,290 shares changed hands, valued at GH¢46,800.00
