Dr Amouzu said the number of Tuberculosis deaths reduced from 4 in 2010 to two in 2011.
He said inadequate weighing scales, blood measuring apparatus, delivery beds at some CHPS compounds, lack of security guards and insufficient funds for outreach service were some of the problems facing the District Health Service and appealed to the Ministry of Health and philanthropies to come to the aid of the Service.
Dr Amouzu urged nurses to intensify their sensitization programme on environmental cleanliness to avoid the outbreak of diseases.
