Court sentences fisherman for stabbing fiancée over sex
A Cape Coast Circuit Court, has jailed a 37-year- fisherman to five years imprisonment for stabbing his fiancée for refusing him sex.
Kwesi Antobam pleaded not guilty.
Inspector Christiana Sampong told the Court presided over by Mrs Florence Kai Otu that on Tuesday, February 7, a furious Antobam paid his fiancée a visit around 2130 hours and enquired from her why she was denying him of sex.
He also demanded all the monies and fish he had given her in the course of their relationship.
Mr Joseph Thompson, a sibling of the fisherman’s fiancée was attracted to the scene and rescued his sister and he sent her to a co-tenant’s room.
Inspector Sampong said Antobam pursued her with a knife, stabbed her and took to his heels, but Mr Thompson raised an alarm prompting neighbours to chase and arrested him and handed him over to the police.
Ms Brown is responding to treatment at the Cape Coast District Hospital.
