Minister joins launch of Nokia Care Centres in Accra
Deputy Minister for Greater Accra, Nii Djamah Vanderpuye, earlier this week joined Nokia as Special Guest of Honour, to launch two new care centres in the city of Accra
The new centres are located at Asylum Down Roundabout and the Circle Mobile market.
Speaking at the launch event, the Deputy Minister commended Nokia for its track record of producing durable reliable and innovative phones, saying, the opening of Care Centres in Accra underscores the value Nokia places on customer satisfaction.
Identifying with the challenges of counterfeiting that have become prevalent in the mobile industry, Nii Djamah Vanderpuye said while government will strive to confront the problem with the relevant agencies, he was confident that Nokia’s approach of providing superlative after-sales service to owners of genuine Nokia phones will help win the war against counterfeiting and thus called on Nokia to continue in its leadership role in the mobile industry.
On his part, the Head of Nokia Care for West Africa, Mr. Silvin Sinan, said the decision to open more Care Centres in Accra was due to the need to bring after-sales service closer to the people through walk-in experience.
He said Nokia is determined to provide first class repair services using genuine Nokia parts, technology and tools to fix genuine Nokia devices, intimating that Nokia has a strategy of recruitment, training and equipping of Ghanaians to offer world class Nokia Care Services in all its care centres.
Mr. Silvin Sinan further directed customers to go online to get support such as software upgrade and learn more about their products and also officially presented two Nokia Asha 303 handsets to the Deputy Minister.
Receiving the phones, Mr. Vanderpuye thanked Nokia for the gesture, saying he has always been a fan of Nokia and would continue to use Nokia devices, principally because of their durability.
After commissioning of the Care Centre in Asylum Down, select journalists were taken on a tour of the other Care Centres across Accra.
