Ecobank Ghana to issue new account numbers for TTB customers

Ecobank Ghana is to issue a new account number for customers of The Trust Bank (TTB), management of the bank has said.

The move forms part of the merging process undertaken by the two banks.

In a notice statement to TTB customers, Ecobank said “New account numbers will be communicated to you which you can start using immediately.”

“You may continue using your existing account numbers until you have exhausted your current chequebooks,” the notice added.

Ecobank said all TTB-branded ATM cards will also be replaced with the Ecobank Visa Electron Cards.

Ecobank Ghana’s parent company Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) acquired a 100% share in TTB on December 15, 2011. The deal was said to be worth $135 million, according to officials at the Togo-based lender.
