Kufuor leaves for major conferences in Tunisia, China
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor leaves Accra on Tuesday for Tunis, Tunisia and Shanghai, China, to address two separate international forums.
A statement issued by Mr Frank Agyekum, Spokesperson and Special Aide to Former President Kufuor copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra said President Kufuor’s trip to Tunis was at the invitation of the African Development Bank where he would be the featured dignitary at this year’s Eminent Speaker’s Forum of the Bank.
President Kufuor would speak on “Challenges and Opportunities of Entrepreneurship Capacity Development in Africa” at the Forum, which offers eminent personalities to share their views about sustainable peace, governance, economic growth as well as the environment.
The statement said in Shanghai, he would participate in the Second China-Africa Forum on the theme: “People’s Voice, People’s Friendship and Cooperation of the People.”
The session to be attended by about 1,500 delegates is dedicated to exploring new ideas on win-win cooperation, new measures of common development and new mechanisms of bilateral NGO Africa-China exchange.
It is being organised by the China-NGO Network and the African Union.
President Kufuor would be away for about 10 days.
