US Police places $25,000 bounty on suspect who stabbed Ghanaian to death in Washington

The US Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch in the District of Columbia has announced to offer a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons linked to the murder of a Ghanaian in Washington last week.

Hayes Osei Dennis, 60, was last Thursday July 19, 2012 stabbed to death during a robbery attack in Washington DC, according to US Police authorities.

In a statement July 20, 2012, Detectives from the MPD said they are investigating the fatal stabbing of Hayes Osei which occurred at the unit block of Q Street, S.W.

“The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia,” the statement said.

It added “Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.”

Hayes Osei left behind seven children, six boys and one girl between ages 4 and 20.
