Security Services sign Book of Condolence for Mills
A high-powered delegation of the Armed Forces and the Police jointly led by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Peter Augustine Blay, and the Inspector General of Police, Mr Paul Tawiah Quaye have signed the book of condolence, in memory of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
A release issued in Accra from the Ghana Armed forces and signed by Lieutenant Colonel E.Aggrey-Quarshie for the Director of Public Relations and copied to the GNA said the signing took place at the Banquet Hall of the State House.
It said the delegation had earlier called on President John Dramani Mahama at the Castle, Osu, to console him in respect of the demise of the former President, and also assured President Mahama of their loyalty to him and to the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.
The delegation pledged to continue to work together and in concert and unison with other security services to ensure the security of the state.
The delegation included, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Joseph Narh Adinkrah, the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Matthew Quashie, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Michael Samson-Oje, who also took turns to sign the Book of Condolence.
