Ghanaian company develops biometric verification software
BSystems Ghana Limited, a leading software and database management company, has reiterated its commitment to help expand biometric verification software technology to meet present and future needs of businesses in Ghana.
The company is specialised in solutions that meet the business needs such as voters’ identity card verification, asset management, brokerage, accounts reconciliation and loans management for microfinance software as well as cheque cloning verification systems among others.
Mr Thomas Akwasi Baffi, Chief Executive Officer of BSystems, who launched the biometric verification software in Accra on Tuesday in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, expressed regret that a lot of organisations were lacking in Information Communication Technology (ICT) development in the country.
He said government was committed to changing the trend by stepping up the ICT application in all sectors of the economy, hence the need for all businesses and financial institutions to position themselves to become effective in delivering of services to their customers.
“Our vision is to provide innovative software applications that offer customers tremendous competitive advantage to meet their business needs,” he emphasised.
Mr Baafi noted that biometric software is one of the best technologies to be introduced and said it was aimed at meeting the wishes of clients on data-based management system.
Outlining plans for customers, especially for government of Ghana, the CEO said: “We deliver customer focused software solutions and services, ranging from conceptual planning and feasibility studies through to engineering and design as well as offering systems support and restructuring,” he stressed.
Mr Baafis said new ideas on software development for customer satisfaction would be the company’s target that was why “we enter into a memorandum of understanding with some of the banks and the Electoral Commission to eliminate fraudulent acts committed against most financial and government institutions so that they get all information about the bearer before agreeing to transact business with them.”
